"The Butterfly Sonata" is a heartfelt story about healing and a serious crisis in a marriage. Enola is a young mother of three who is suddenly diagnosed with a serious illness. At the same time, her husband Olavi loses his job. It is the time of the economic depression of 2009 and it is very difficult to find a new job. These two tragedies happening at the same time completely turn the already troubled family life upside down.

Excerpt from the book: "I couldn't really remember the last time my relationship with Olavi had been completely normal and relaxed. It must have been sometime before I was expecting Samuel. From there on, everything was an eternal valley of trouble. After the baby was born, the situation seemed to improve for a while, but then pretty soon these problems with Olavi´s grandmother started, then my illness and Olavi's job loss came... It was as if a curse had fallen on the two of us."

"Butterfly Sonata" was published for the first time in 2010, and it was noted in the Tänapäev publishing house's novel competition of the same year.
